WE OFFER
CINTA PROJECT
Chicano Mentoring Association presents the Cinta Project dedicated to the art, development and preparation of film making. This project highlights the untaught history of minority populations in the form of ethnic studies depicted in a documentary setting. This project not only exposes youth to different academic fields such as history, art, and film making, but will also provide an opportunity to develop their research and artistic skills. They will have an opportunity to learn about vital community members of the past in order to understand their community of the present. dcervantes@chicanomentoring.com

Application: parents name, childs name, phone number, grade level, subject, preference of gender for tutor, emergency contact
VOLUNTEERS Needed
The heart of Chicano Mentoring Association is our volunteers! Volunteers are vital to ensuring all workshops and events are running smoothly. Some task as a volunteer include registering families for community events, preparing bags and boxes for events, setup and take down of events, directing traffic, ensuring the practice of CDC guidelines, event security and community tutors/mentors. Benefits of volunteering for Chicano Mentoring Association include networking with other volunteers and organizations that attend our events. Volunteers will also be able to gain experience and skills by collaborating with others on creating projects for the community. This experience will enable volunteers to be community leaders and activist for change. For those who are looking for an opportunity to complete community service hours, Chicano Mentoring Association is the perfect fit. We sign off on community service hours for anyone who needs them.
If interested in volunteering please contact our volunteer coordinator: Samantha Cervantes via email at samcervantes@chicanomentoring.com. Please note that a background check will be required for anyone 18 years and older. For anyone under the age of 18 must provide a valid school ID.
